We tend to muddle an Unrenewed mind with an undisciplined mind, but they are different. The undisciplined mind holds on to things it shouldn’t where the Unrenewed mind opens the door for a life of unwanted consequences. When we are young in the Lord, there is tremendous grace in our Unrenewed mind, however, if we continue in it, we eventually find ourselves sitting on a throne in our hearts that we surrendered to Christ. Then, from that place in our hearts, we bring forth the issues and struggles in our faith that we are supposed to be victoriously walking in!
